Patrick Murray
Patrick, the Managing Director of the parent company Maths2XL Pty Ltd., has a comprehensive background
in mathematics teaching with over 15 years of working at the coal-face of the
classroom.
His concern for students who couldn't grasp maths concepts in the
classroom, led him to form a team to develop the Maths2XL multimedia-based
teaching programme. Pat has incorporated his highly successful delivery style
into the content creation for Maths2XL.
The programme was first used in mathematics
tuition centres established by Maths2XL in Sydney in 1998 and the results were outstanding.
Based upon the UK National Curriculum, the programme
was developed in CD-ROM format and introduced to the UK in 2003.
Pat retains a teaching post in a mainstream school thus allowing him
to keep up-to-date with changes to the syllabus and to teaching methodologies,
ensuring that the Maths2XL programmes are always pitched at a level
where all students can succeed.
Stephen
Murray
Stephen, Executive Technical Director of the parent company Maths2XL Pty Ltd., has been the driving force behind the
software development for Maths2XL. He has been a software developer since 1996
and, besides the Maths2XL programmes, has most recently produced sophisticated
Treasury software for large financial institutions.
He has recently developed a version for use on school networks.
Stephen
has added numerous improved features to this already critically
acclaimed programme, and some of his work, particularly
in the seamless streamability of the tutorials, is considered
industry leading.
